After a chilly weekend, we’re going right back into above-average territory for this week. Temperatures will jump into the 50s today with partly cloudy skies and a southerly breeze at 10-25 mph. Late in the afternoon and towards this evening, clouds roll in as we have the chance for scattered rain showers overnight.
Tuesday starts off with mostly cloudy skies and then we bring back a chance for showers in the afternoon. Temperatures may be near 60 before those showers come in!
Wednesday and Thursday look to be mainly quiet with sunshine and temperatures in the 50s, and then all the attention shifts to Friday and Saturday.
A storm system will be forming and strengthening just offshore from the northeast, but if it gets its act together in time, we may have a rain to snow type of situation. At this point, confidence in wintry weather is very low, but it’s been such a quiet winter that ANY chance of frozen precipitation gathers attention!
We’ll keep you updated on this storm all week, but once again, betting on snow accumulation so far this year has been a losing bet, and that may continue to be the case as we cruise into spring.
